I bought the same bug shield and liked it, but decided the truck just looked better without it, especially after installing the color matched grille. I say remove it.

the bugshield provides an "eyebrow" (read unibrow) to the overall "bulldog's mug" look caused by the bullbar, which is the bulldog's "chin" Remove it and the bullbar looks gumby. So if ya remove it they both gotta go IMO

I took mine off after it had been on for 4 years.. The amount of damage the clips made was really bad. I have to imagine they caused more damage than any rock chips the bug shield could have prevented.

With that said, I would say, if you are not crazy about the looks, I would take it off.

Machine gun mount. Would love to blow the shit out of it since it has nothing but issues. QA at Toyota USA is shit. Start making them in Japan for Christ's Sake!
What kind of step bars are those?

+1. I got my truck with 10K and a bug shield. Took it off and glad I did as I think it was going to do more damage than any bugs. I live mine better without it. Yours doesn't look bad with it since the colors are dark and blend together.

I think the front looks cleaner without it, but beefier with it (in a good way). I can't decide :p

edit: but i'm voting to keep it because it does more good than harm.
