My mileage dropped a little more then 1 mpg and the wind noise was almost unbearable when I took mine off. It went back on less then two weeks later.
It does look a whole lot better without the air dam though.

I own a DCLB OR which didn't have one. The without look is much cleaner looking IMO.

    Work in progress...
...should I stay or should I go now, if I go there will be trouble but, and this is the important thing I think, if I stay it will be double. So there it is, take it off.

I have the off road 4x4 DCSB. I went and bought one for it. I like the looks of it. Just had to take off the tow hook.

keep it if you never plan on going off road, if you are take that shit off because it will eventually get ripped off. supposed to get a little better gas mileage with it on.

Took mine off when I added the SSO Slimline bumper, and noticed no difference in mpg. I even half-assedly put it back on with 4 bolts and 3M tape for 2 weeks to see if it would be worth drilling and tapping holes in the new bumper to accept it full time. Again, change was imperceptible.

I have no plans to put it back on, and I'm fairly anal about maximizing mpg.

Running 265/70/17's on the 4Runner TRD Pro wheels. Great set up. Only minimal rubbing at full lock and when driving over our curb into the drive way. We just take more of straight on approach and its a non issue. Tires are Yoko Geolandar's G015's and couldn't be happier with them. Very quiet and well mannered on the highway, and around town, but will get us around for the minimal off roading we'll do.

So far it's still on.....I don't plan on letting my son off road it,(of course what he actually does may be another topic)so for now it lives. With that said, if I get bored this weekend it's likely it comes off. I'm a bit anal about road noise so I'll probably experiment with it off and on.

Its really negligible at the speed I cruise on the highway. I drove back from Tennessee in the pouring rain and got 23 mpg highway at 78/mph without it on. I doubt I would have seen 24 with it on.

I took mine off, didn't notice any difference in mpg but I trimmed about 1/3 of it off and put it back on as I didn't like seeing some of the exposed parts...

hmm....I like the idea of trimming it to make it less noticeable. What did you use to trim it? Nice looking truck by the way! I was so torn between the blue and red....

I used a dremmel and took a lot of time making sure I followed a straight line... then sanded the edge down.
