I can tell you right now you are glorifying them A LOT
I want an STI or WRX, but they are not all that quick.
I have raced too many that couldn't out run my camaro, but that is different I guess.... A 489 making 650hp means I can outlaunch them too if I have drag radials on.

You are talking apples and oranges. The keyword is MAKE, not used to make. Hellcats are not Fords the last time I looked.

Flawed logic here, let me ask you, a Chevy truck that is manufactured in Mexico is it Mexican then? Or do you identify it as American icon that carries American roots?

True, when the new GT500 comes out, it will beat the ZL1 by a little to be sure. But with GM already having a motor answer with the LT5 755 hp on tap, like they put the Z06 650 hp in the ZL1. Ouch!!

Then the C8 rear engine Corvette that is coming out, game over.

A chevy truck that is built in Mexico, in a GM plant, is an American made truck. IMO.

A Ford car that is contracted out for another company / country to build. Is whatever that other company is. Canada rings a bell.

I know, it sucks.... I was very disappointed finding that out too. :(

I am a huge Ford fan, believe it or not.

You also have to look at many factors when comparing muscle cars to these, like is it from a stop, a roll, plus other variables such as power va. curb weight etc. I can promise you they can hang for sure. It’s been proven time and time again with video proof.

These cars come from the factory with a 0-60 less than 5 seconds easily with a novice driving. You just need exhaust intake and a time and can definitely hang. I had a stock turbo with 375 whp. Not crank. Mine was slow compared to many examples we can find.

Everybody likes their own thing. Definitely not making these vehicles more than they are. The proof is in the numbers you can attain in a 4 cyl no less. By the way I’m not saying all other cars are crap, I’m just letting people know amazing feats can be attained with 4 cyl and a decent turbo.

With Japanese parts like motor and transmission I still call it Japanese, but again I see what where you’re coming from

    Its a tennis match.

Tacoma is Japanese. Kinda like if you were born in Africa in a US Embassy. American all the way.

I used to be Ford all the way, never GM. I have made fun of GM my whole life until Ford corp screwed the 3rd time on the GT350. First on a 1991 F150 which is the reason I am driving Toyota trucks. Then 2nd time on a 2014 Mustang GT, and then the 2016 GT350. If you want exact details I would be glad to tell how Ford is so screwed up and does not care about customers.

you can make anything fast. there's dozens of 1000hp evos but they are either getting a rebuild after each run or just for show. high power 4 bangers are the farthest thing from reliable power. shit mine has just over 400awhp/wtq and if I drive it hard something breaks. the 4b11 is obviously a different animal than the 4g63 but still if you want power a 4 banger isn't the way tbh. could make twice the power with half the cost with a v8.

I think they can be both reliable and way cheaper if maintained and tuned properly. Imagine this, you buy say a STI (just because they are still being produced)... You can definitely build it reliably and it can definitely compete and beat these V8’s for less than it costs to buy even a Camaro let alone a Corvette or GT500.

Those cars are still badass, but if you do the math you can’t make the numbers not come out less. Sure you can add parts to these cars like the Corvette Hellcat etc to make them even faster, but that increases the money spent as well. Sure they have more power from the factory... But they can be outperformed by a lesser price car with mods. It’s not speculation it’s been proven.

Either way, if I buy another car it will be either an Evo. I just lived in the middle of nowhere when I had my last one and it just didn’t make sense to keep it at the time.

Check this out, guy built this Toyota Supra himself and ran 10 consecutive 8 sec 1/4 miles, in the same day!

Destroys everyone including some Camaros and silly shit at the end.

This is a street legal daily driver.

Awesome car, and it might have license plates, but truly street legal (under federal law), and daily driven, I doubt.
