Keep the chrome or black them out?

It's a classic look. I bought one graphite colored car and sold it within 6 months. Never again will I stray away.

I am going to agree, partially with storm trooper. Back story first. I had a white tacoma picked out and ready for pick up. Didn't think i liked the chrome either. Knew i was going to black it out. Saw a blacked out white tacoma that day and thought it looked like a terminex truck. Had the dealer change all the paperwork and bought the mgm instead. Short answer color match our chrome on white is the way to go. But to storm troopers point. Thedecals catch wax like crazy. I would leave the tailgate alone.

 

You either like chrome on your Tacoma or you don't. I'm personally on quest to "go black" but understand those that like the bling. My SIL's white Silverado is so shinny it blinds you in full sun, but hey, he likes it and it's always clean. And you don't need to eliminate ALL chrome. If you go that direction just do those that please you.

I looked at all the blacked out white trucks at our boat ramps and decided if I wanted to be different, a little chrome would be good. Got a partial chrome grill and tailgate letters. BTW, 1985 was a VERY good year and oh yeh, I'm an old fart so there's that! Enjoy yours your way.

 

I would remove the badges, but if you want to keep them on then I recommend blacking them out.

I'd say dip it, $6 and if you dont like it you can always go back to chrome.

 

You should totally get a matching hairstyle...

 

Plasti dipped my TACOMA's on the front doors, removed the chrome on the Tailgate, and put in the vinyl TACOMA letters.

 

Compromise, get rid of 1/2 the chrome

 

As we, or at least I say, it's your truck, have it how you like it.

 

Ditch the chrome

 

Definitely black it out
