Had the same problem with mine, I took them off and like the look. Try it, if you don't like it put them back on.

I would love to take my front flaps off. But, in WV this winter they were using pea gravel instead of cinders which would wreck havoc on my under carriage.

This thread is over a year old... BUT I would have heated up the tire side of the flap with my heat gun and pushed the flap toward the nerf bar holding it until it cooled creating a sort of bubble. When let go after cooling the flap shouldn't hit and no need to trim or remove. This is just an idea if anyone in the future runs into the same problem and feels like giving it a try :D. I personally took three inches off the front flaps so they don't scrape on driveways and speed bumps.

Keep the mud flaps and get another brand of Nerf Bar. My Aries have at least 5" of clearance from the flaps!

take em off, if youre worried about rocks, mud, sticks etc. i wouldnt cause the nerf bars are gonna catch a lot of that without the flaps, i think it looks kinda weird too with the flaps pushed in. just my .02

I tried keeping mine on until I got a set of 285/75/16's and these tires ate my front mud flaps:D

They blend in if you have a black truck.

I tried keeping the front on but after a while of smashing them on speed bumps (even at very slow speed) it irritated me so I took em off. Personal preference I guess.

I did some trail driving yesterday and I've finally had enough. They are getting trimmed 3-4" tonight.
