for no one to hear from him this long is not normal. maybe a few days, even i dont get back to people right away when they call or text, but usually after a day or two i woulda got a phone call. its been since dec 17th since i heard from him and since dec 18th since his ex-gf heard from him.

i mean he does have a job and they havent heard from him either. he does aquarium maint and has regular acct he visits weekly/bi-weekly. i even contacted one of them to call him and say their tank is leaking to see if he would even return their call. no luck.

the police said since his phone doesnt go right to voice mail he is avoiding my call. they tried calling him, no luck. ive tried from 6-8 different numbers, no luck. i said what if he is dead in a barrel like on Breaking Bad and someone just has his phone but wont answer a call, only make calls. They said unlikely. pfft!

so either someone else has his phone and he is dead or in the hospital. if thats the case, where is my truck? who has it?

if he is just refusing to answer any call, where is the truck? abandoned? stuck in the mud some place?

if he simply lost his phone, he knows where i live.

no recent pics but its all factory on the outside. youre basic black 2008 double cab.

has tinted windows ....not too dark on the front.

has vent visors and crappy westin step bars.

de-badged. Cooper STT Pro tires on black XD revolver wheels. And the black hard tonneau ... i forget the brand.

the only identifying mark is the sticker on the back window, the step bars are rusting (glad i didnt replace them this summer when i planned on it), and there are train horns mounted behind the grill.

there are two small motorcycle helmet sized stickers (like 2"x2") on the sides of the rear bumper. one says freedom isnt free, thank a vet and the other side says god bless america.

im sure the police will find it unless someone else has it and changed the plate. but like they said, unless its driven in front of a cop car fitted with plate reading cameras, they would have to manually enter the tag to realize it has been reported stolen.

That sucks bro, especially from someone that you've known so long. I wonder if the phone company of his phone would be of any help to you. Like if you contacted them and they could trace his location. Probably doubtful idea but just trying to help. Hope you get it back soon.

Just a thought. If he hasn't been heard from (either his family, work, etc.), why not have his work ask the police to do a "welfare check" or similar.

Perhaps it's not nefarious and he crashed somewhere? If he had a fully charged phone that isn't being used, the battery may still be good.

Maybe something like this. The police might not be willing to go to the phone company to trace his phone over a stolen truck, but they might for a missing person.

FWIW, police agencies have the ability to request the cell phone company "ping" a cellphone in real time and have it transmit its GPS location back to the cell company. Takes a warrant (or promise of one in an extreme case), but it can be done. Might be a missing person case filed by a relative might do the trick to make that happen.

    Remember

    Black wheels

    Black step bars

    Window visors

White sticker on back drivers side window

    Chrome rear bumper

I see so many black double cabs now. Once it gets close enough something always make say 'nope' like chrome step bars.

A real pain in the ass!!
