Keep your old iPhone - makes a good tracker & 911 calling

I hide my old iPhone on and plugged into a USB Charger in my trailer when we leave it - I can use it to call 911 if needed, and can also track it for free (as long as it has service) using “find my phone” if the trailer ever gets stolen. This would also work if you leave your truck parked somewhere while you are away from it.

 

Why do this if you have to pay for data....seems pointless because in the long run its safer and smarter to get a tracker

 

Sorry - it’s my old phone but on my family plan, so it costs the same with the line or not. I know not everyone has this, but it’s worth the extra if you have a phone to leave stashed when you are away from the rig, especially in remote places.
