    At minimum it helps hold the o-ring on. I can also see how it helps prevent the injector from slipping out of the fuel rail, once installed.

    Put that injector on the passenger bank. That way if it leaks, it is a much easier repair process. Cylinders 3 or 5 would be best.

    Lube up the o-rings with Vaseline prior to install.

    I did find these for “the injector shop” hopefully they fit cause these are literally the only ones I can find
