Is there any scented oil that turns them off? A rubber snake set in the bed? They mostly land on the tailgate top rail and crap down the tailgate.

They are afraid of little green army men. Glue a few of those down and you’ll be good

I hate to laugh but this is funny as hell! In 4 years this is a first!

Are they crapping down the inside or outside the tailgate? What type of birds are they? How often does it happen? What color is the crap? What time of day does it occur? Is there evidence that more than one bird is crapping simultaneously? Have you been throwing bread or seeds out for birds?

All the answers to these questions will allow the experts on here provide the best and most educated solutions.

Car cover probably the most effective and not expensive.

This should do the trick. And your truck will be sporting that 80's hair look too.

Subd' for a real solution, good luck OP

    Sparrows most likely.

I thought maybe there was some scented oil that they don't like.

I'll buy a rubber snake and set it in the open bed near the tailgate.

Hell Yeah! This is a great ideal Mike! But I wouldn't stop there.

What about the front? OP get these for the front! You don't want birds shitting on your headlights!

    ee2515cd3f6a99409917cddce7c6c691.jpg

And while you're at it, you need to keep them from sitting on the roof shitting on your back window! That's a safety hazard. Plus, you're going to piss them off if they can't sit on the bed sides, tailgate or hood. This will ensure those damn birds will move over to your neighbors vehicles!

Came in here to suggest this. Bird spikes.

Whats attracting the birds, OP? Either they are ino checking out their reflection in the windows/mirrors, or they are using the truck as a vantage to scope your lawn for juicy insects. If it's the former, that's easy. Fold the mirrors and cover the rear glass with a towel. If it's the latter, :notsure: that's not as easy. Maybe try parking in a less convenient spot?

This is no BS I leave my 2500 hd out in the driveway (Because its its old as dirt) but I have this bird that has an obsession with the drivers side mirror he sits on this all day and pecks at the mirror. Shits all over the side of the truck! For months! Read online that it could be a breeding season thing and it will probably stop after mating season. Well it hasn't so I must must have the horniest bird in all of Georgia! Time to meet my pellet gun! He also sits on my windshield wipers and pecks at the actual windshield (Guessing from his reflection) So he either has Covid or one horney sum bitch! MF! The side of my truck stays covered in Bird Shit!

A major lift. Get high enough and the air is too thin. For a serious answer, I haven't a clue aside from a pet falcon.

I was hoping that someone would come up with a 12 volt bird zapper.

Live wire run up the center of a corn cob. Also fixes those damn squirrels that insist on throwing pecan shells all over my sidewalk.
