OP - What's your location? Hard to respond without knowing severity of winter.

Here in Maine - I drive my truck through a touchless wash that's open year round as needed (usually weekly) in winter. It has a great multi angled bottom blast that gets most of the road salt off. For interior, the only thing that gets really dirty is my drivers side floor mat. I just take that in the house and clean off in a utility sink. Anything else on the interior can be done just as it's summer. I know I can't keep it as clean in winter as I can during the remainder of the year....just have to accept that as part of where you live.

Never had an issue with freezing water in locks, doors, etc.

    THIS IS WHAT YOU DO.

SINCE YOU HAVE A GARAGE, IF ITS ATTACHED TO THE HOUSE ITS PROBABLY WARM ENOUGH. IF IT IS DETACHED AND CRAPTASTIC LIKE MINE, HEAT IT USING A PROPANE-TANK-TOP HEATER. EASY.

BUY SOME WOLFGANG UBER RINSELESS WASH. SHIT IS AMAZING.

POUR THE 1OZ. (IT HAS A MEASURING THING ON THE BOTTLE) IN A BUCKET. POUR IN 3 GALLONS OF DISTILLED WATER. MIX. YOU NOW HAVE YOUR SOLUTION. PRO TIP (DISCLAIMER, I AM NOT A PRO): KEEP YOUR DISTILLED IN THE HOUSE SO IT ISNT FUCKING COLD AS FUCK.

GET A $7 PUMP GARDEN SPRAYER. FILL IT WITH SOME OF THE SOLUTION. THEN THROW 3-4 CLEAN MICROFIBER TOWELS INTO THE SOLUTION YOU HAVE REMAINING IN THE BUCKET.

I USUALLY DO THE TRUCK IN SECTIONS...ROOF/WINDOWS, FRONT/HOOD, SIDES, REAR.

SPRAY DOWN A SECTION WITH THE SPRAYER THEN USING THE WRUNG-OUT DAMP MICROFIBER YOU MAKE EASY PASSES, CONSTANTLY USING A NEW CLEAN SECTION OF MICROFIBER. EVEN SOME OF THE NASTIEST SALT AND DIRT WILL COME OFF WITH EASE SO LONG AS YOU HAD A NICE COAT OF WAX ON THE TRUCK PRE-WINTER.

I USUALLY WRING OUT THE MICROFIBERS AS NEEDED INTO A SECOND CATCH BUCKET. THE DIRTY MICROFIBERS NEVER TOUCH THAT CLEAN SOLUTION AGAIN. CAN ADD MORE TO THE TRUCK WITH THE SPRAYER

    DURING WASH PIC

I CAN USUALLY WASH NOT ONLY MY FJ, BUT THE WIFE'S MINI COOPER WITH THE SAME 3 GALLONS AND SOME EXTRA MICROFIBERS. MAYBE TAKES 45 MINUTES TO DO THE FJ TOTAL. NOT BAD.

OP - GIVE IT A GOOD END OF THE SEASON WASH. THEN GIVE IT ONE LAST WAX FOR THE END OF THE SEASON. THEN BUY SPRAY ON WATERLESS CAR WASH STUFF AND USE AS DIRECTED. TOUCH UP WAX JOB WITH MOTHER'S SPRAY WAX THROUGHOUT THE WINTER.

The all caps thing is fucking anoying.

I just wash my truck when I can at home. I don’t have a quarter car wash I can trust. Last year I laid my sealer and like two weeks later it snowed. Went to a quater wash and their foam cannon with a label that said car shampoo sprayed out detergent. Washed all the sealer off.:angrygirl:

So I just wash at home on a decent day. This may mean going through Jan and Feb with no wash but not a big deal to me.

I car more about how fly my truck looks in the summer.
