Hey Bullzi, Damn not another layoff. That just SUCKS. Im sorry to hear that.
That looks like a good project though to keep ya busy and preoccupied. So you think you will keep them polished or paint them?
Well at least your still modding your truck and on a good LOW budget.:p

Thanks, I sure hope they do.

In time, mine are still in great shape, this is more of just a "when I can afford to do it" thing.

Thanks, yeah it sucks big time.:( Spending money wasn't my best idea, but I couldn't pass them up. I'm stripping them b/c the stuff on it now is peeling off. They're in rough shape so I'm gonna have to see what I can do to make them look best.

Well if ya have access to a sand blaster of some sort that would be the easiest. Especially if its free. Thats what I did to mine to get the clear coat off. Which made the paint stick real good.

I started on them tonight. :p The chrome finish it peeling off bit by bit. Just going to be a PITA.

Job situation: Nothing. My boss (from the last big job) said even if we win the bid in July, we probably won't start until August. Which means I need to get on the job hunt ASAP! About to crash, last day tomorrow.

    Have a good one man!

Good news: I got invited to join up with a few different softball teams after 9 games yesterday. Let's just say I played pretty decent. :)

Bad news: Still don't have a job to go to tomorrow, or anytime soon thereafter. :(

Hopefully the job hunt is going well....:( I feel your pain.

On a happier note, nice work on the truck! It's going well. I like to see other girls working on their trucks! :D

I am working as of now. It's money, it's hot as hell in a chemical plant building scaffolds. Not ideal by any means, but it's helping me try to stay afloat until a good job comes along. I cannot fill out applications fast enough! Thanks for asking.

And thanks, right now it's filthy and I'm sporting the chrome grille as the satoshi needs some TLC. One day I'll get some free time and initiative.

You're welcome! A job is a job. I got a new job not too long ago, and it's not my dream job but it pays the bills.

I know exactly what you mean about the free time!! My truck sat for a long time with nothing done to it. Now that I'm feeling better and have free time again I'm actually working on stuff.

Hey! Nope, I still never even got the project rims going. No spare time with work and football season just kicked off. I do however, have a new gameplan:

I need to save up a good sized chunk of change (hopefully a better paying job will be coming up very soon-I have a few leads.) Paying off my truck early (about $10k) Saving up enough for 2 years insurance, getting everything under the hood up to date, and paying off the couple credit cards that are holding me back. Saving about $10k for Radiology Tech school. The semester starts in July, so if I can get all (or most) of that done, I will apply in April and hopefully start next summer. It's a 2 year program at the hospital system here in my city. I figure I miss school, I have a big interest in radiology, and I want to do something that makes a difference. So truck mods are going to be on hold for a while, still gotta get my billies on and I'll see about getting some new "shoes" for my truck before starting school if I can afford it. Oh, and for income around a full time schedule of classes and shifts, I will be getting my personal training certification so I can still make money. Whew, that's a mouthful of a plan I guess! Let me know what you think :)

Well Bullzi that is probably the best thing ever for you situation. I hope it all works out for ya and wish ya the best of luck and skill. Everyone deserves a break and you should be due for it. :)
Main thing is for the truck that is just to keep it running good and maintenance. The rest will come when money and time permits.

Got two calls today for two different positions with the same company. Interview for one tomorrow morning and a physical fitness test for the other Wednesday. Things may actually fall into place for me after all. Fingers crossed!!

    Appreciate all the support Galen!

It's HOT there? We've got a freaking cold front down here. Like 60s in the am and only getting to high 80s/low 90s during the day. Have fun riding! Lucky!! Btw, I GOT THE JOB! It'll be officially offered to me in a meeting 8 am Friday morning. :woot:

Thank you Galen!!!:D I'll be working from 4 pm to 2:30 am four days/week. So I'm even back on a night shift. Enjoy my beer, I've still got to hang in there a few days at the current job, so I've got to crash and get up in like 5 hours. No beer time  Will have to grab one tomorrow after work I guess :p Have a great rest of shift!
