Continuing from my last thread that I was unable to find. Finally got the cylinders tested. 1,2 over 60 3 around 30 and 4 less than 10. Found a 2001 that had been rolled with a newer motor for sale. Grabbed it up. Same engine (2.7 3rzfe) but the 1996 is distributor and the 2001 is coil packs. My question is do I need to replace every wire in the 1996 with the wiring from the 2001 to get the computer to work? I'm 3 days into trying to get every wire disconnected without breaking anything. I'm out of cash so buying expensive adapters isn't going to happen. Hoping I can find a way to make things easier. Thanks.

I think he was just posting your former thread in here for others to reference in case they had any experience/advice to relay. This thread presents a new issue so I don't think you need to delete it (only mods can delete threads anyhow)
