2010 Barcelona Red Access cab Tacoma, 4x4 and loaded with the bulletproof 2.7L, bought in 2014 with 116 000 km (72k miles). Now I am at 268k km The truck mostly work dedicated, and my week end hunting and fishing rig. I am a surveyor for a general contractor, mostly doing building excavation, implantation, and supervision, so the truck is used to carry all the stuff I need to get the job done. The truck is now Activities dedicated. Will see where it goes.

List of repairs (with approx km) :

    - O2 sensor and everything related to it at 116 000 km. Light came on when I arrived home with the truck after buying it. Returned to the dealer (bought it a Mercedes-Benz) to tell then about it. I got all the job done by Toyota under the 30days warranty I got from Mercedes when I signed the papers.

    - Driver side front wheel bearing and hub seal (+- 125 000 km)

    - A/C hose that was leaking

    - Hand brakes cables (seized after first winter)

    - Both front axles(217 000km) Driver side boot was leaking so I changed both axles... because the price was good!

    - Axle seals , How to remove Axle

    - Serpentine belt (prevention)

    - If my memory is good, that's it for now, wich is pretty good for having the truck in my possession for 3 years now and rolled 100 000 km

So yesterday was cleaning, today is a little mecanic. Passenger side axle seal at the diff is leaking since I put the new shaft in, so my guess is that I damaged it when I pushed the new axle in... So today I am take everything apart again to change that seal. Starting it now

Just took the seal out! That is the hardest part! Used a prybar with tape on the tip as described in this thread : https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/help-with-front-axle-seal.165522/

Really useful! But I highly recommebd to have a seal puller since I had to use my foot to push on the prybar to apply enough pressur! Nearly knocky my face in the spindle when it popped out!

New seal in. Now to put all back together and go get a 10mm hex head socket to drain the front diff and fill it up with new oil! Hope the seal won't fail since I didn't had the right tools to put it there... if it leaks again I'll get al the tools! Buying tools is an investment!
