That would be a negative sir! I was planning to work on that yesterday evening then I ended up working on a friends truck instead. The Ford Dealership wanted a little over $1000 to install new rotors and pads front and rear. This kid was about to pay the ransom until he mentioned it to me and I was like, "UH NO!"

Anyway...I am hoping today or tomorrow. Shouldn't take long IIRC

Man, you saved that kid's wallet's life!

The longest part would be drilling the 2 frame holes.. besides that, give yourself an hour tops

Yeah, for sure. I’m not sure what the parts cost him but I’m pretty sure it was less than half all together. Plus he brought me a Monster which is my drink of choice since I don’t do alcohol.

Can I install these without taking tires off etc or will I have to Jack the truck and take off tires? It’s been a while since I changed my rear shocks

:rofl:I’m free Friday and Saturday if you need a hand I’m not good at much but can change shocks with the best of them.
Ya gotta jack it up and remove wheels, place jack stands under frame, use jack to lower/lift axle to get the lower shock mount aligned just right.

I know you can do oem shocks with leaving the tires on, but not sure on these. I pulled mine cause it's easier to get in there, and literally takes 30 seconds.. Unless you have a really high jack and stands, just pull them since you will need to let the suspension droop down anyways

I’ve looked at it this past week, the price versus how long drum shoes last not worth it to me.

Okay. I think I have my head wrapped around it. I’ll give it a go and if I run into an issue I will leave it in pieces and give you a call @MattCowsmasher lol. That’s one nice thing about being able to pull it into the shop to work on it.
