Anyone in the community install Kensun HID Lights on their TRD Off-Road Tacoma? If so is it an easy fit with the relay wiring harness? Any feedback would be appreciated, thinking about getting all HID's for my highs, lows and fog lights.

I have installed these on 2 other vehicles (highlander and prius) and they work great. Extremely bright and from my 2 samples extremely reliable. I have that exact 55w h11 kit sitting in my closet waiting for my 18 TRD PRO that lands in a couple weeks.

Incase anyone’s interested, kit was a success. 6k has a little bit more of a blue than I expected. Might change to maybe a 5k but running with them for now. Took about 2 hours for both lows and fog due to installing the fogs from the top instead of removing all the wheel well linear.

Thinking about doing this to my 2018 Taco SR5. Do you still use these bulbs? I was looking at the Kensun or Xenondepot HID kits and am kind of torn between price points.

How is light output at night?
I am thinking of HID, but am alright with the halogens as they are much better than the second gen I had.

Still got the bulbs and kit on my 2016 they have not had any issues since I installed them almost a year ago. If you are on a budget I would recommend these. I too was looking at other HID kits and for the price of Kensun is a lot more affordable. Also another good point is Kensun has great customer service and a 45 day return policy, so if you don't like them you can always get your money back.

Output is great, I compare it to a buddy who has Xenons and they are pretty close to the same. Only thing I would change is i would go with 5000k temp instead of 6000k. I wanted to super white output and the 6000k had just a little hit of blue that I didn't like, which Kensun gladly exchanged it at no cost.

I have been doing a lot of reading on HIDs and I came to the conclusion that Kensun would not be a good brand to go with for me. Less reliable and less output, a get what you pay for type deal. I ended up going with some XenonDepot HIDs that are currently en route to my house. I've read a lot of people switch to a different brand from Kensun and are much happier with their new brand.

Just what I've came across in my readings, I haven't used any HIDs yet...but soon will be able to give personal experience comparing XenonDepot HIDs to Hikari LEDs (gen2).

HID should be putting out a lot more light than the standard halogen.

Interesting, so you don't think they help light output very much?
I plan on going around the 4300k as I had 5000k on my camaro that I hated for being white.

I feel like an idiot saying this, but when I said halogen I really meant to say Xenon. As you can tell am learning still about mods and such, hence why I'm always on here learning how to do them and what to do on my Tacoma. Overall the output is many times greater than a halogen as Technique mentioned above. I'll post a photo from inside the cab tomorrow.

You'll have to post how the 4300K looks when you get them installed.
