Ok,maybe im wrong, but I know of an area down in powell co,I know how to get there, off of 15 you go back up a road and look for a white metal guard rail in a corner, turn left there and go back maybe 1/2 mile. Theres a trial head marker, then a creek and rock formations,up a big hill theres a cave you can drive into. I was told its called.the narrows,I frequently.go there, its not blocked and.not patrolled. Never had any.problems w anyone

You are talking about stump cave, south fork. It is still open. The narrows is been blocked for a while now.

Ok yeah you are close but not exactly there. Like David said that is the Sand Lick area that takes you up to stump cave if you take the right up the hill and that area around the creek is patrolled regularly by the woods cops. If you go left it take you back to the Widow maker area and beyond. The Narrows area is off of Big Bend Rd and is currently the center of a fight between Powell county and the forest service because they illegally took it an destroyed the rd. I wasn't trying to be an ass either I was just correctly you and I'll offer up to show you around anytime your in the area and I'm off work. Stump cave is a nice area to go to but there's tons more areas to see way better than that.

That photo of Stump Cave is pretty sweet. I'll be back at Ft Knox in March, hopefully I can meet up with some of the KY guys this spring. I've done a lot of wheeling in CO but none in KY.

I was looking at Lexington's forecast, I'm a little bit south in Madison county, and after about a week of cold rain, it should warm up. Wednesday looks like it could a good day to wash it.

Stump Cave is pretty awesome! Went there last year in my stock truck, hope to have a lift by this summer!

You can barely see my truck back in there.

Had 3 hammocks tied to the D-rings and to the top of the ceiling.

Had a chipped pinion gear I'm replacing. Gonna put disc brakes on the rear and bob the bed with a new rear bumper while it's down. Also have psc hydro assist I'm gonna be installing. Mostly a bunch of maintenance issues I'm trying to clear up if the weather ever clears.

Stump cave is a nice area but there's so much more places to see than stump. Stump is the local drunk hang out.

Hopefully I can attend a meet up with you guys to explore the area a bit more. I'm usually in the RRG/Clifty Wilderness area to climb and backpack, that particular evening was my first time exploring Slade in my truck.

Yeah his truck has been there but it's gotten a little rough getting back there so if your not prepared for mud or scratches I wouldn't suggest going.
