Hi, I have a 07 Taco Bell and the previous owner installed a Kenwood 504BT.

The issue I’m having is that when the key is off / out the head unit is still on thus draining the battery. I have to manually turn the head unit on / off with the user button but I don’t want to do that anymore.

I assumed that they wired the ACC to actual always hot. So I cut that and moved it to my own known ACC +

However after testing it works great. However after a drive to work the head unit says (miswire turn off etc).

It seems that the head unit is looking for IGN + but it shuts off when the engine is on after a certain time???

I am unsure what do it now but I would rather not have to revert back to the way it was where I had to turn it on and off myself. Versus via IGN hot.

It’s a 2007 Tacoma with the left only steering wheel controls (which is inoperable) and no JBL system.

    Any help would be amazing

The first thing you should look into is the radio settings.

    It's possible it's a feature

I did there is no setting to fiddle.
I got fed up and threw in a relay between the ACC wire that it wants.

    I hope that works.
