So I bought this unit from gtz85350 and installed it. Looks great! But, I wasnt provided a code. I have tried to contact this seller multiple time, but he has not responded. Anyone know if there is a standard code that you put in the first time? I would realy like to do anything with the new stereo besides look at it in the dash doing nothing!! Some people said they had to take it back to the dealer. I would rather just put in four numbers and get over it. Please help. Thanks.

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
You may be able to contact the manufacturer. There is no standard code that will reset the unit, that would not make it a very good security feature.

I havent resorted to that yet. Reading some of the internet suggestions point to that as well but I need the serial number off the back. I was hoping there was an easy solution without taking the darn thing back out. That... or the guy I bought it from would re-appear from the thin air of which he disappeared into and help me out. Maybe there is a standard one you put in and then have to enter a personal one after that. I dont know, I'm just frustrated that the guy wont get back to me. Thanks for your advice. If I dont hear from him I may go this route, or continue the mass guessing.

It's only 10,000 combinations... surely you can get it in under 5000. :D :D :D

Well, so far I've gone through 1200 different codes. Hoping to get it before the 5000 mark. Did the 9000's and a bunch of obvious ones so far. 1 every 3 seconds or about 100 every 5 minutes. Sounds like fun. Anyone know if the unit stops taking codes after a certain amount of wrong ones entered?? :frusty::goingcrazy:
