That Dr Colberts book is a good one in the links below and Magic pill on Netflix has some good info.

Happy to hear another endurance athlete say that.

This is why I’m wanting to go keto. I’m a runner as well as a lifter. I’m looking to get into the ultra marathon game and burning fat as a fuel source is ideal.

I attempted to make philly cheesesteak unstuffed peppers with cauliflower rice.

Its ok. Needs lots of hot sauce.

Looks good. I usually do stuff peppers with ground beef and or hot pork Sausage, Cheese, Spinach, Cauliflower rice, and more cheese. seasoned with Garlic salt, Garlic powder, black Pepper. white pepper... mix it all up, load said pepper. Install in oven for 20-25 ish @ 375

    That sounds delish.

This would be much better with ground pork sausage.

I’ll vouch for the not running out of energy. Did half marathon earlier this year after switching to keto. Didn’t “bonk” during the race. In fact wasn’t hungry until 4-5 hours later.

Bell peppers are high in carbs usually not a keto friendly choice.

I measure and count everything. This isn’t the lowest in carbs but it can fit depending on the rest of the day.

This.. and to further a case for why fasting is so swell, with only eating once or twice a day. Makes it easy to stay within your macros, without stressing about having a little more bell pepper than you should have...

All I know is, having a steak filet and a small thing of asparagus on a diet is pretty nice lol

    I also do this.

it’s been well over a year since I started this and I have been able to maintain the weight loss.
This morning was at 203 and I seem to stay within the range of 199-205.

I stick to a low-carb diet during the week and relax on the weekends...

That is true. You cram more food in a shorter window so it does seem like you can be more flexible more easily.

    I eat at 12, 1, 2, 6, and 8. I workout between 3 and 5. So much food, so little time.

Its tough though. So many things have carbs. I realized I’m going to have to start making all my own salad dressings because good luck finding anything without HFCS or sugar in it.

That's a lot of eating! I would never get any work done. I thought we were supposed to stick to three meals and not snacking?

Gotta hit 2800 cals per day at least. Which is a lot of food when you are sticking to pure whole foods.

I don’t think meal frequency within the eating window is really important.

Man, that sounds like a mission 2800 cals a day... I tracked over a year on Carb Manager... Got pretty good at hitting my Macros daily, I don't think there was any days I was over 2400 Cals.

I like Hidden Valley Ranch. 2 carbs per serving.

There's a dude I follow on IG - Goodybeats he's a body builder keto guy... scope him out
Last nights... Bacon wrapped chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cream cheese with some asparagus on the Traeger :dancingbacon:

I’m on the low end of caloric intake compared to a lot of guys I know.

I will have to check him out. At a glance looks like he has quite the physique.

I’m trying to ease into keto. My protein intake I think is still high so right now I’m focusing on just carbs, then as I get the hang of it I’ll work to up fat and of course by default lower protein.

I’m getting ready for a business trip and I want nonperishable keto snacks to bring with me.
    I’m thinking:
    Nuts
    Seeds
    Tuna packets
    Pork rinds
    Pepperoni in packets

    Any other ideas?
    I hate jerky
