I got the key/fob combo since I have an SR5. The battery was a CR2016.

actually once you take the key out of the fob the tip of the key doubles as the "flat head screwdriver" to open up the fob for easy battery changing

CR2032 in my 2016 TRD Sport. Just changed it last week after seeing the warning.

I guess the battery has some drain on it just sitting at the ready. I virtually never use the buttons. Simple carry in my pocket and use the "touch the handle" method to unlock the doors and also lock the truck when leaving. I don't know if this will give me longer battery life, but really, the CR2032 is so inexpensive I might go to just changing it out once a year on it's anniversary. I've got them in a AJT aftermaket enclosure which makes it even easier to change out.
