I walked by my truck tonight, and the proximity lights didn’t turn on. I made sure that the truck was locked, walked away, then came back, nothing. I grabbed the fob out of my pocket, and the little red light was flashing. I went inside and got my spare, it worked, but only the drivers side. I tried my primary one again, and it worked, again, driver side only. Is my battery going dead? Is it drivers side only?

Can't hurt to replace the battery and see. If that doesn't work, try putting it back in it's original case. Doubt that will make a difference, but worth a shot. Especially if you have to visit the dealership for warranty work

One thing to note is only the drivers door has the proximity sensor as far as I know.

That and the only time I’ve seen that red led flash is when I “muted” it (hold lock and press unlock twice) not sure of the correct term so mute is what I went with. I do this when I wash and when I come in for the night. Walking up to the door won’t do anything and touching the handle won’t do anything. It stops the remote from constantly searching (which lessen battery life as well something to be aware of at the least) which is why my spare fob is “muted” in the cabinet. Any concerns of anyone using a hacking device to extend your fob range is why I do it every night. Chances maybe slim but you never know. Any lock/unlock press will also unmute the remote bringing it back to normal use
