Hey folks!! I am brand new to the board with a question that has been a thorn in my side for about 8 years. Having to do with the key fob programming of my 2nd gen ‘08.
In the latter functions of the jump-up/turn-around 3 times/blink twice/close eyes/fart/open eyes/close eyes… turning key in the ignition 5 times to erase all existing remotes, 3 times to check how many key fobs are then registered, resulting in the locks cycling 11 times. Shouldn’t that number be 0 hence I just did the ‘all delete’ or is that somehow a glich?
Maybe a pre-installed default number(though seemingly high) from the factory? Any ideas or reasoning?

    My data shows this.
So 11x looks to be the correct number:thumbsup:

    1. In Confirmation Mode, if no recognition codes have been registered, LOCK-UNLOCK operation will occur 11 times.

    Awesome!! Amazingly quick!! Thank you!!
    ….
though forgive me if this sounds elementary,
cycling 11 times refers to 11 fob entries available or 11 fobs programmed? Sorry, it’s late.

It means there are NO fobs currently programmed.
The maximum is 4. After 4 the next one will delete the 1st one.

    1. Add Mode is used to register new recognition codes while retaining the previously registered codes. This mode is used when new transmitters are added. If the number of registered codes exceeds 4, the previously registered codes will be erased in order, starting from the first registered code.
