I got my truck on Saturday and I have 2 keys, both are the circular oval fobs with the metal cut key portion.

What are the fobs everyone's posting that are rectangular and only have buttons? Where's the metal shaft?

I'd like to get the AJT fob cover, but it looks like I don't have the right key for that?

Did the keys change over the models years?

The AJT fobs covers are mainly meant for higher trim levels with push-button start - it allows the driver to ditch the metal key completely. Do you have push-button start?

He will probably have alot like the minimalist ones he has for the push to start fobs so shouldn't be a problem. You wont be disappointed if you wait. BTW, the key you have for your SR5 is known as a H-Key for your reference.

M/Ts don’t get push button - which i kind of like, because i can control how long it cranks when it floods out (mine does this often)
