Key FOB Range too short | Tacoma World
This was posted up yesterday, some good info in there. It seems like Toyota made these things kind of hit and miss, some guys get great range and some have garbage range. Not a huge deal, I'll just add it to the list of "normal" Tacoma shit.

I'm not really sure why the range of the key FOB is that big a deal actually. If I go to the grocery or hardware store, whether it works from 50' or 500' has never been a concern. Just as long as it works, is all I care. I think the only time I tested mine was I was just curious to see 'how far' kinda' thing .. It was maybe about 200' .. At the outer-limits of the parking lot at a grocery store, because my rig is new and didn't want some dork opening up their door onto the side of my truck. If I'm just pushing a grocery cart, whether the doors unlock 4 blocks away, or 50' away ... Ehh? What do I care?

I saw on YouTube you can increase the range of your key fob by holding it against your forehead
