Key fob remote start on 2021 TRD OR not working anymore?

Interesting. Got mine in Dec 2020 and it stopped working about 2 weeks before the exact date I bought it.

I guess I have no choice but to either pay $8 a month or give away all my data to the machine.

 

So you agreed to the one where your truck transmits precise location data and what not to Toyota but not the other two agreements? When I decline the location sharing one it automatically declines the other two. It looks like the only way to get remote start working again is to constantly share your precise location with Toyota? Bummer.

 

For those that care.....I got my fob remote start working again. YMMV but I had to first agree to all the privacy and info stealing policies and then go and activate the trial of service connect afterwards. It did not auto enroll me in the trial. Once I confirmed it was working, I went back and declined all of the policies except the very first one which is required for service connect to work. 5 days later and it is still working.
