Key fob troubles 09 sr5 taco

So I recently purchased the factory key fob for my taco and while trying to program it following all the different instructions multiple times I keep hitting the same problem. When I get to the point where the truck is supposed to go through the lock unlock cycle right before you hold down the buttons on the key fob. It doesn't cycle it chirps at me three times... Super frustrating and annoying. Please help S.O.S

I don't remember any chirping, but its been a long time since I've done it. It did take me multiple tries to get it. Probably 8-10. Do you have an alarm system or remote start?

 

No remote start or any aftermarket alarms. The truck didn't come with any key fob so I bought one and am now having the trouble programing it. It has an aftermarket stereo but other than that it's pretty vanilla

 

Now I feel dumb for asking but did the sr5 come with key fobs or no?
