08 DCSB 4x4. I'm having intermittent issues with my keys. The truck starts using key with black head then dies. I use the key with grey head and it starts and doesn't die. I can drive to my destination shut the truck off and come back out and try the key with black head and it works. Fob works to lock and unlock. New battery were put in the key fob. What's up.

Sounds like a failing transponder in the key if the other one works all the time.

Is the security light next to the clock flashing with the key on when it won't start?

I didn't notice but I will check that out the next time it happens. Can the transponder in the key be replaced

No you’ll need another key, bring your license and proof of ownership to a dealer and have them cut/program a new one to your truck.
