Looking for opinions on this. I purchased my 06 DCLB TRD Sport a couple weeks ago from a Toyota dealer. It came with 1 key and 1 fob. I had a non chip key made so I could get in if we were ever to lock the keys in the truck. In testing the new key I discovered that the original key would not unlock either door.

Is it within reason that I should expect the dealer to provide me with a key that opens all the locks, or shame on me for not catching it sooner?

    Thanks for your input.

Too late now to go back to the dealer since it's been a few weeks. Very odd though. Was the truck in an accident or something?

It had a clean carfax, and was a two owner, both local to the dealer. So no evidence of an accident.

Car fax doesn't mean anything honestly. Seeing as the keys don't fit, means something had to be replaced.

    Did you lubricate lock cylinders?

I would at least ask the dealer for a proper set of keys. This is especially true since it doesn't work in the door. If you don't ask the answer is already no. Personally I would not accept 1 key and 1 fob. It came with two each and that is what I would want or no deal.
