I had to drill out and replace the ignition lock cylinder on my 2000 Tacoma.

I thought the key sensor chime would stop with the new cylinder; but its always sensing a key and chimes when the door is open and I can only lock the doors from outside with the key.

Does anyone know how that key sensor is wired/works? I cant see any wires to it and I maybe damaged/disconnected something during the drill out.

I'd appreciate a response from anyone having a link or heads up to a work around or a trouble shoot on this.

    Thanks,
    DK

Wish I could help you, Don. Unfortunately, I only know how to make the buzzer stop, which isn't going to solve your lock functionality problem.

    Thanks for the reply SRD....

I can see that key sensor module atop the cylinder housing, but the mounting screws are from above..inaccessible.

I need to get some real line drawings of how that is wired up for a route around.
