I have noticed over the past month some trouble starting the truck. When inserting the key into the ignition it becomes difficult to turn.

This different than when the steering wheel is locked out.

I have noticed that the primary key I use is more worn than the valet key.

The other key is somehow wired into the remote start system. I need to look and see if that can be swapped with the worn out key.

Any issues to using the valet key all the time?

Nope the only difference between the Valet and regular key is the color.

As @Jimmyh said, you can use the “Valet Key” all the time.
The only thing you can’t do with the “Valet Key” is make a copy of it.
Technically, you can physical copy that unlocks the doors, but it won’t start the truck.

Only a master key (Black) can be copied. As it will allow a copy of the immobilizer data to be transferred to a new key.

My point is, be sure to take the Black key with you if you get a new key made.
