I'm looking for some Intel and possible location of a keyed hotwire under the hood for an electric fan install. Which I assume is to prevent the fan running after the truck is shut off. TIA Cheers, Dave

Should be able to easily find one at the under hood fuse box, just make sure to use a relay since the fans will draw a lot of power. Generally the IGN2 wires are brown w/red stripe but always use a multimeter to test.

Are you doing a full radiator replacement or just putting on an electric fan? Been interested in doing this for mine.

Thanks for the reply. Just a Derale fan and controller. Looking for more power towing with my 2.7. I'll post some pics in a bit. The fan is protected by a 25 amp fuse and I think the keyed hot just supplies a signal to the controller.

Ah, you got the one that was in the for sale section. Yeah, the controller has the relay built in so you're just using the IGN line as a trigger.

Wondering what did you eventually do for the temperature sensor?

I bought a piece from LCE engineering. You have to cut a 1-1/2" piece from the pass. side rad. hose and insert this piece with clamps. It has a 3/8" boss for a temp sender and a place also for a ground connection. Very good quality and fit. All is up and running well

Ok, standard in-line hose temp adapter. That was what I was thinking would be the way to go. I've got a couple sitting around the garage, might even be the correct size for the hose.

Good luck, I hope you have one. If not, LCEs' is $30USD
