I found this info online and Thought I would share should any of you need it .

carparts.com Has the Gates brand locking gas cap (fits my 2012) But you can search
your year truck on the site.

    Gates part #31780 carparts.com part # GAT31780 $16.34 + tax and shipping.

I have purchased similar caps for other vehicles from Gates and never had an issue with them.

I fully agree that this is just a line of defense. And in no way will it stop the cold hearted from stealing your gas.
But most thief's will pass on the hassle of removing it and just go to another non locked cap somewhere else in the garage
    or down the street.

Most will just drill a hole in your plastic gas tank, considering there is a anti syphon device in the fuel neck that prevent any decent size hose from going in. Takes to long to syphon gas with a fish tank air hose.

I think that "anti syphon device" was federally mandated for "roll over" protection in the early 90s. Basically they want to prevent a vehicle from spewing gas everywhere during an accident. I'm OK with that feature...lol

Gotta be careful with some of these aftermarket gas caps because they set off the vehicles check engine light.
