i have a 2017 tacoma, sr5 with manual key entry that has unlock buttons on the keyfob. over the last couple of years I have noticed the key slowly start to stop working when I hit the lock or unlock buttons. i have replaced the battery, and now it basically only works when the weather is warm. kind of strange, but wondering if anyone else has noticed issues like this? solutions? do I need to contact toyota?

You might try gently taking steel wool to the metal contacts where the coin battery sits. That helped when my Fob was acting flakey.

Does the other key do the same?
    Might try that first.

Replace battery again. I've had bad batteries right out of the package......
