keylees entry remote reciver location

I own Tacoma 2016 SR want to know if it comes with keyless entry remote key fob

Mine came with remote entry but NOT remote start. Looking into doing it , there are some good threads on that and I appreciate those who have added their thoughts and suggestions. I purchased this as a certified taco and don’t want to do too much that the stealer may void my warranty.

 

The question how I an tell is it came with a keyless entry fob? where I can find the receiver of the remote in my Tacoma?!

 

If you can't make the oem route work, go with a N2 remote start with long range fobs. For about 400 bucks you'll have a single fob for remote start and lock/unlock (with awesome range).

The receiver is under the headliner and the FSM says to pull the headliner to get to it. You could also check under the hood to see if you have the buzzer which chirps when you lock/unlock with the remote. The factory head unit has settings where you can adjust now loud the buzzer is. I'd assume you wouldn't have those settings if you didn't have the hardware. The attached show where these parts are.
