I have a 2023 tacoma SR and looking just for a keyless remote option as my truck doesn't include it. I am not interested in remote start since from what I read, the remote start aftermarket options shut the truck off once the door is opened. I would prefer not to splice any wires and I dont have tpms on my truck. I tried looking on the site and around google but I couldnt find any. Sorry if this has been asked and answered.

    Welcome
N2 has a nice plug n play remote start system, that’s proven reliable. I’d check their site.

If you have an H key, the aftermarket remote starts do not shut off when the door is opened. Just if the brake pedal is pressed. So you get in, put the key in, turn to the on position, then tap the brake to shift gears. Truck never shuts off. I went compustar on mine FWIW. The range is awesome, and cellular is an option. I didn't do cellular, but if I have good line of site, I've started it from 8 blocks away. But it is a remote start/alarm/keyless entry system, so may be not what you are looking for.

I have a manual with h key and the N2 remote start. Works great! Doesn't shut off when opening door, but It will shut off if you tap brake pedal before putting key in ignition.

Talked with N2. Toyota changed what keys get "H" etched into them. Now standard keys (no fob) have H which is what was confusing me as my standard key has a "H". The correct n2 part number for standard keys are: SKU: N2-EO-TOY5-RF-K.

I had a Computar model 2 way on a truck a few years ago. Did not shut down when doors opened. Just put foot on brake and push start button and all worked well. It would start the truck from as far away as 1/2 mile and me in a concrete hockey arena. Wish my Taco had that system. Best ever for me.
