2017 SR5 that's mostly stock, except for a Kicker Hideaway sub.

I locked the truck with the remote before I left for work last night; truck was parked at home overnight. When I got home this morning I tried to unlock it, but nothing happened. I tried three new batteries in the remote and it still wouldn't work, including the panic button.

The truck starts and runs normally, and the doors will lock and unlock using the buttons on the armrest. I'm guessing it's an issue with the remote module itself, maybe.

I appreciate any thought and suggestions y'all might offer.

Well, it clearly is not your FOB battery if you tried three of them. Maybe a blown fuse?

there is a way to turn off and on / resync the ability to lock/unlock the truck with the fob, i don't remember what the procedure is but you should be able to look it up.

Can you check if the battery is dead? Not saying it is but something to check before overthinking to something else.

He said truck starts just fine.

Op, if the truck is push to start, and you're not putting the fob by the start button to start the truck then the fob is fine.

Well, heres one for ha ha's...my wife accidentally washed and dried my jeans in the washer and dryer the other day......with my tacoma keys still in the jeans pocket. She even asked me while i was having lunch what was wrong with the dryer. It was making strange rattling noises. Well i went to help remove the dried cloths when all was done, and lo and behold my keys were sitting in the bottom of the dryer's drum. Chit, i figure the battery would be at the least toast as i once had the same issue with my phone. Nope all still works well. Washed tested toyota tough. I now assume these keys are waterproof, and dryer heat resistant.
