While mountain biking today I lost my key fob, thankfully I only had the fob and not the key, so I was able to get in my truck and drive home. I was looking into getting a new fob and then went down this rabbit hole of keyless entry...

Wondering if there is a way to set up keyless entry on my phone somehow? I don't care about remote start, but it'd be great to unlock my truck from my phone.

    Thanks!

Basics. Tires, painted headlighes, UHLM, baby winch in the bed, and heated mirrors :)
In my limited experience, seems like phone-actuated keyless entry tends to be built into all the higher-end remote start systems. If you're gonna spend the money and effort on the receiver, plus data subscription for it anyway(unless you find one that works on bluetooth or something), you may as well just go all-in and enjoy the spoils of remote start as well. You can even wire them up to other functions like rolling up windows, etc. I've been eyeing the Compustar products myself, as they have the provisions to handle remote start on manuals.
