Did you get the truck cleaned up yet? How'd it fare? I got some new scratches. I may ride my bike out there some day to explore.

I didn't get it completely cleaned up yet. I plan on it tomorrow when I can get the undercarriage really good to get most of the salt washed out. I definitely got some new scratches and some are a little deep, but it happens. I slid into a high tensile fence before my first payment and smashed the bumper and headlight assembly. After that I don't get too excited about superficial damage. The only thing I really noticed was that my trailer plug got bent. It is just cheap tin and I will straighten it back out. I saw that the Power Wagon ended up with what they suspect as a hydrolock. Hopefully he can drain and replace fluids, and be alright. I know I wouldn't want to have to deal with that in a new truck. I don't hit mudholes I don't know how deep and what the bottom is like for that very reason. If I had a dual sport i would definitely go back there and explore a little more. I don't think my truck will be back there until I get it set up a little better. Especially with everything greening up and growing in. I think i have decided on Mobtown bolt on sliders as the next upgrade. I would like to get their front and rear bumpers as well. They have a rear bumper with tubing that come up to the rear tire. Do you think there is any advantage to this, or would it catch on more things than it would help.

I'd rather catch a solid piece of Steel than a flimsy bed side.

Yeah it may hook more brush and stuff depending on how thick it is where you are at. But I can think of 2 dents I wouldn't have if I had gone that way. Haha

Yup. Seen them already. Not enough info to really judge at this point.

That is a really good point. I don't like the looks of it, but it does seem functional anyhow. I wonder what the price difference is. I got a pretty sweet pic of you climbing that offshoot. If i think about it later on I will put it on here. I have to figure something out with my trailer plug now. I have it zip tied up, but need a better long term solution.

Such a good idea and kind of what I was thinking anyhow. I was going to cut a hole in the bumper to relocate it, but you're suggestion seems easier and just as practical. I'll have to check with my inspection guy to make sure i don't need two lamps, or the license plate just needs to be illuminated.

I found a thread for the trailer harness relocate kit. I think i will stick with the zip tie until i can get this bracket. I would rather go that route for now anyhow. It will probably be counterproductive once i get a rear bumper, but I have a few other mods before bumpers. I like the idea of tucking it up by the hitch though. Thanks for pointing me in that direction. It is exactly what I am looking for.

Front is done. Waiting for paint to dry. Started the back bumper while we wait.

Really wish I would've aired down for that. That wasnt the line I had in my head when I started but it worked.

I have never aired down or really offroaded in a truck. Knowing where you were, how would airing down have improved or changed your line?

I’ve only got one light on mine. Never had an issue and I’ve had the CBI custom rear for over 6 years.

I’m glad you just don’t stare at the paint while drying and you actually multitask.

Your lead times are much improved. :D
