Who do you use for powder coating around here (Philly area)? I bought a BruteForce rear bumper from a member on here and it could use a redo..

 

Brooks powder coating in West Chester or Crazy Coatings in Middletown, DE are the two I have used and would recommend.

Crazy Coatings has a TW member as an employee, although he's not active much.

IDK where you're at, but custom metal coating in Sunbury does pretty nice work.

anyone else's AC Stink when first being used? I used the AC yesterday and boy was it smelly. Like rotten something haha

Any tips or tricks?

 

Not sure if that's exactly the same thing, but there's this whole big conundrum about using AC in recirculation mode, and not letting evaporator coils dry out before shutting the truck off. ... If that's your case, need to clean evap coils

Edit. Sorry, I don't have any useful tricks...

 

interesting! I always let the fan run when my AC is off since my blower resister is wonky and i'm too cheap to buy a new one (i keep doing the prong fix haha)

It's usually kind of a smell of mildew, which usually goes away after a moment of use...But still blowing mold spores out of the vents....
Not sure if that's your case, but that is plaguing bunch of cars in recent years

No stink, so not much to add

 

I think it can be cured by just running on fresh air for a few before shutting down. That’s what I’ve heard anyway.

 

Sometimes the drain clogs up, speeding up the process...

This is mostly prevention.


Now days they sell some products, like foams with a hose that you might have to stick in a vent or whatnot.
Back 10-12 years ago - when I was dealing with it in one of the cars- that stuff wasn't readily available, so the solution was, using a scented bleach mixed with water and (after removing a cabin filter) slowly spraying it into intake vent while having AC blasting.... I can't recommend it, since that most probably was the cause of blower fan crapping out on me mere weeks after the procedure. Got rid of the Stink, unfortunately it also took a while to get rid of smell of bleach
