I am not sure, but i think the offroads are a slightly different set of specs. I think they have an offset as mine are 0. I also think the backspacing is 4.3 instead of 4.5 The factory is also 7 wide instead of 7.5. I have no idea what all of that means, but have read through the threads a few times trying to figure out what i will need to go to 285 and have the best chance without rubbing and not running a wheel spacer.

Anybody upgrading tires? I want to go back to stock size and maybe take lift off as well.

I wish i could offer some insight into this, but the whole thing was too technical for my simple mind. I now know the terms offset, backspace, ect...I even have an idea of how to measure to get those number. There was very little discussion on what combos seem to work with what. To me that information is way more important than know how to measure and get the numbers. Just give me the combo that works and i'll find something with those specs. Sometimes i think people get off by writing very technical write ups, but i am not a mechanic or an engineer. I'm just too cheap to pay someone for something i can figure out myself most of the time. Especially with the help from the few that genuinely want to help members out. i think the 4.5 with 0 offset is a good combo, and what i have stock. I still had some rubbing of the mudflap, and fender flare. Minor and alleviated with extremely minimal trimming.

Are you dropping for mileage or just don't go off-road? Prepping for a trade in?

I want to go back to stock height and have to put stock size tires on to avoid rubbing. Milage maybe one of them but I don't drive it much. Never been off-road and probably never will so no point of having extra stuff, plus this way dealer can't bitch about lift and warranty stuff since I have extended one. Not into truck anymore but I need it for house and carry big stuff once in a while, I got STI couple month back so money go in that lol

This 3" lift is useless for me. Pita to get in the truck and get out lol. I might keep lift but get smaller springs or just put everything back to stock

I think your right about that wheel size and it seems like everytime you modify something on these trucks it has an effect on something else when doing my lift I ended up replacing lower control arms because of seized cams and replaced uppers to get better steering even ended up doing my own alignment because of alignment techs that couldn't or didn't want to give what I was looking for.

I have 3rd gen sport rims. I have the sensors but not in them they would have to be mounted.

:rofl:I didn't perform my own alignment because i refused to. But had to same issue with my shop. I even highlighted the instructions for them. They moved the wheel forward, but the balljoint is still at the 2 degree mark, and i couldn't have made myself clearer that i wanted 3,0,0, I even highlighted the picture of the UBJ showing the positioning for 3 degrees. First time i paid because i was ignorant. The second time they ate it because they didn't follow my directions. I've just dealt with it as it wasn't bad once i trimmed the lip on the fender flare that wraps to the mudflap.
