    The approach angle is the degree of where the truck is vs. leading edge of the tires. The lower the angle the easier it is to get “hung up” on obstacles on the trail, i.e. rocks & such.

    By design the 3rd gen has a larger front nose and less of an angle. The winch mount only adds to that decreasing the angle even further.

    No hate my friend, just a fact of the newer models.

    There are only a couple after market bumpers that address that shortcoming and even then it’s strictly an off-road issue in certain situations.
