How good can armor be if it’s bent in shipping under its own weight?

What’s going to happen when there’s a 5000 lb truck hanging from it?

I would also have to agree, I used to drive fork and the way the bumper looks like it “over hangs” the pallet where the forks would go, they probably rammed it trying to pick it up. One side could of been against the wall, thus not giving or just something else altogether.

I don't think that got bent under its own weight. I think they fell off something and happen to land right on the tip. Both are bent in almost the same spot just opposite sides. Who knows what happened.

 

One thing is for sure this bumper is way more stronger than the factory one. I'm pretty sure when I hit a deer with the new bumper it's going to be a dead deer and not a dead taco.

 

I know two plate bumpers were bent in shipping.

You should see what I’ve done to my Brute Force bumper. Attached to a 6000 lb truck. Never bent like that.

 

Just don’t run into a forklift...

 

Looking at it again, that’s not a normal spot to get hit on the trail.

For that kind of money, those bastards would keep sending them until it were right though.

 

Any one here have the “gasshole”? Also looking at mobtown for their locking storage doors. Just for piece of mind really as I don’t have anything stored back there yet.

 

My goal is to not hit anything of course. I thought about making them send bumpers until one comes thru undamaged but I don't want to transport all those bumpers back and forth to work. I have them shipped to my shop because I have to sign for them and I can't keep them there. So when and if they call to pick up the bumper I have to take it back to the shop for a second time.

 

That’s some ham fisted action there.

 

I remember a few of years ago when I would tell people “I’m putting the armor on just in case. I’m not planning to do anything crazy”

Now I know better. Now I build my truck so I CAN hit things.

 

Buy a bed cover and lock the tail gate. Thats what I do.
