Honestly it comes down to batteries. I don't care about color, and performance should be about the same. I think battery life and longevity would be the difference. Without doing that type of work, I have no experience and therefore have no idea which would be better. I'm liking the Milwaukee M18 line though.

Right, that was a coke or pepsi type statement. There's a ton of reviews online which could help determine which has a better battery life. Battery life will also come down to how you treat the battery, temperature, charge cycles, etc. So regardless of those reviews...it's yellow v. red. I use all Ryobi stuff and find it more than adequate to do whatever job I need done.

@diabetiktaco the tip is tinned. Looks like this is how it's supposed to be! I know nothing about CB stuff.

That's probably why I never used that wire and had it hanging in my garage. :) This would be a time where I turn to youtube for help.

I love my Dewalt tools. @Blackout14 like Milwaukee. Other people like other things. Exactly what @diabetiktaco said. Its whatever color you prefer nowadays for the tools geared more towards contractors.

Really? With the lithium Ion batteries? The last time I charged my 20v 5AH battery for my 1/2" impact that stays in my truck, was when I went down to Tennessee last August I think. It's at 1/2 power now. I've used it numerous times since then.

Or maybe I charged it before the October AOAA meet. Not sure

This is the type of response I was looking for. @Blackout14 thanks. I think you sold me on Milwaukee. Now a dumb question, can you use the 5ah battery on the regular or brushless lines? I feel like I only need the fuel line for maybe the impact. The rest I would rarely use, so to save a buck the lower end would be ideal if they all use the same batteries. I would get good batteries and some top of the line and some cheaper tools if that all makes sense.

Seems like no matter what the impact should have a 5ah battery then? Do either Dewalt or Milwaukee have a 1/2"impact that uses a 5ah battery and the line of tools that also accept the same battery?

I burned out my first drill. But it lasted thru a house flip and 3/4 of another flip. I abused that mofo. At the end, it was shooting shit outa the motor hahaha

I dont know what it SHOULD have, but I think mine came with the 5Ah. It will run on the smaller batteries just not as long I don't think. I also don't know much about batteries. Does the 5ah mean it will last longer than say a 2ah? That's what I always thought. Or does the 5ah put out more power than the 2ah? This could make sense to me too.

Considering all the rain we’ve had...
And I just realized yesterday that I never shut my side vents from the AAoA trip in October...?
The only shit that’s gotten wet is what ever was sitting on top of the deck out of the drawers.

I usually prefer Lowes, they give me a 10% discount every time I go. Home depot only on 11/11

I hate Lowes but try to shop there for the same reason. My dad has a military discount card I use.

Final question is it worth going Dewalt because they are 20V vs. everyone else at 18V?

I usually prefer Home Depot for having what I actually want. Some brands are exclusive to either one. Certain things I don't care about though, a shovel is a shovel.

Maybe i'll have to look into the home depot deal then. I have a hard time dipping into the armor funds to buy tools though. Especially with sliders saved for already. I am trying to get enough for at least a bumper and CMC as well before the Mobtown tax sale.
