He makes a build thread for you. I haven't looked at the one he made for me in quite some time.

When exactly is it time to start one?

I need new and exciting. Not mistakes though.
I wish I had thought mine out more, but I am also happy with where it is now. I went with the 5100s first. Then progressed to my current setup after wheeling with @El Dahs and @stairgod and wanting to wheel what they wheel.

That sounds good. Maybe I should buy a regular cab ranger with the 2.3L and do the same. Turbo, SAS, fucked up things. @El Dahs what engine is in yours? That particular generation is easy (easier) to turbo the 2.3 than the previous years. Anything after 2000 is not easy, or even doable

Where are you located? Is it your own practice? I'm getting a puppy in about a month. He just got neutered and his second round of shots. He's 4 months old. My mom rescued him when she found him rummaging around in garbage cans in North Carolina. The shelter says he is a shepard mix. We think he's also chocolate lab. He met his match with this particular stick.

When I start welding on your frame.

An old ranger with a turbo and twin beams would be awesome.

Mines a 2000 single cab. Maybe long bed? Not for long tho. I have the 3.0 liter with the 4r44e transmission. I'll back it up with an Atlas transfer case.

Many times I’ve made new & exciting mistakes. :anonymous:

I’ve ran this setup for nearly 8 years and I’m completely happy with it. Simple and effective.
I did this setup too but ended up swapping back to mating the snorkel to the stock intake. It’s less complicated and IMO more efficient. Just my $.02

Ahhh gotcha. That's the shittiest of the 3 engines they put in the rangers hah. Similar mpg to the 4.0 they offered and less HP. Not that you care about mpg, but still. Also it doesn't do well with head gaskets. I had one blow with 120k on it. Unsure if it was the original one or not. Also the auto trans started slipping. Is the 4r44e the OEM trans on that?

For that gen ranger, all the 2.3L needs to be turbo'd is basically the turbo and a chip. I believe injectors and maybe fuel pump also. Everything else is good. I had a 1994 ranger with the 2.3. It was better for me to swap in a donor 2.3 from a Thunderbird. It had better internals than my year ranger.

    Anyway..... $$$ :spending:

Joe I will send him your way maybe he can lease apts better then fix cars.
