    Lowes has dogshit lumber.

    My best local is usually YBC. Theres a couple of smaller lumber yards around as well who stock really nice stuff, but you pay more.

    Of course if time is money, being able to walk in and grab two boards that are straight and true it pays for itself.

    Most of my lumber pkgs I sell for whole house projects are direct delivery through a 3rd party. I actually do quite well with that product category. Obviously not the same as what's on the rack at the store.
    Sold 13K lumber package on Monday as a matter of fact. :D
