I think sitting is the enemy of the 2stroke.

I run my weedwacker for like 2 hours straight at least once a month. My chainsaw gets several gallons of gas a year put through it.

I was always told not to drain it. Fill it with gas/ fuel stabilizer and run it for a little bit. When its drained moisture collects in the tank and carb. No beuno.

I've been putting the Delaware river rock down around my house and am about to order some more soon cause I ran out and I'm not finished, probably gonna order about a ton to a ton and a half more, whatever i have left you can have. It's the bigger stuff, 3 to 8 inches.

Bought a ryobi weedeater and blower for 170 from homedepot when I bought my house and love it, its one of the 40v ones and it cuts through pretty much everything, and the battery lastes through at least 2 mowing cycles plus has a 5 year warranty, would definitely recommend the electric ones unless your a professional landscaper.

I have an electric from Worx. It’s 9 years old, and hasn’t failed me once. Battery last an hour or so, which is plenty for me.

I used a 60v Ego and cut through shrubs with it.

If you're strictly using it for grass and weeds, you don't need something super powerful (and expensive)

I was looking at the dewalt stuff cause I have a bunch of thier 20v and 60v stuff but the cost versus the ryobi they just couldn't compete

I’ve had mine for at least 6 years and seen a lot of use I’m surprised how well it’s held up. Spent about $50 on all those parts but was worth it. Yeah yours shouldn’t need a carb being that new. I’ve also heard the ethanol in fuel is rough on these small engines. Never really looked into the electric ones, less maintenance is nice but always wondered if they were on par power wise.
