    I've stayed at Cowan's Gap State Park a few times, which is located near Buchanan State Forest. I had some noisy campsite neighbors when I stayed at a non-electric tent site, but I tried one of the rustic cabins more recently and loved it. Give the cabins a shot if you stay out there. That particular park also has a very scenic view from the swimming area at the lake.

    Small world, Cowans Gap is like 10 minutes from my house. I haven't been there in a while, but we take my nieces up there to swim, but some parts of the year you have to avoid that.

    Well as far as I know and it's just supposed to be his house...lol
    Yeah, gutters been missing for years.
    I would imagine that he kept up on any water problems.
    He really is great guy. He and his wife have 3 kids so I'm sure he took care of any problems.
