Good morning! Mechanical question. I'm getting uneven brake wear on the front passenger side. The inboard side of my rotor shows the uneven wear where the is a rust pattern on the surface of the rotor. The outer surface of the rotor is normal-looking. When I bought the truck a few years ago it had the same issue and I took the caliper off and rebuilt it with new pistons and Boots and cleaned up the caliper internally and put it all back together (all OEM Toyota parts). I'm not exactly sure how long I have had the current relapse.

Might be time to redo the calipers .

Are you getting much vibration on application ??

A caliper even in good condition if the rotor is no longer flat can allow a unusual wear pattern

Yeah... if I monkeyed with them once and the same stuff comes back I figure its time for another caliper. Anyone got some sitting around? (2003 Doublecab 4x4) I need the passenger front.

    Exactly.

If he's going to need new pads, rotors, and 1 caliper, might as well do the tundra upgrade.
