Jesus what a dang week! First the snow Sunday night made the Monday morning commute home a mess, they didn't even do one side of the mountain, was definitely an "oh shit" moment when I got to the top. Their treatment didn't work so going back up Monday night was a white knuckle ride. Not surprisingly as soon as I got into Maryland everything was ok and clear. Been all hands on deck at work with everybody shipping stuff and of course a nice big breakdown caused some chaos. Luckily it's almost over, although they're making us (all 3rd shift maintenance) work Christmas, no other shifts have to, lucky us! Did finally get all the crap washed off the truck, although I did get some crazy looks spraying the underside of the truck laying on the ground at the coin op. Thought the guy was gonna yell at me for using my own degreaser for the underside...

Looking to next year, I would like to add a RTT to the build. I know there are a few of you in here that have run them. I have a few questions that I would like to answer before I start really looking and narrowing down what exactly I want.

1.) Hard top vs. vinyl= I like the idea of a hard top, especially when wheeling. To me the main consideration would be space. I have 2 kids and wife, so will need a decent sized tent. I have a DCSB, so I don't think there will be enough room to mount the larger hard shells without it hanging off the back or looking really dumb.

2.) What features are a must have, and which options are not really necessary?

3.) How many of you use the annex rooms, and are they worth the extra set-up or costs?

    Thanks for all that contribute

I read that as 2 wives and a kid and was really confused.

From what I've seen hard tops tend to have a lot less available space. https://www.ikamper.com/products/skycamp-canvas?avad=200231_c183462f5 this is the only one I've seen that sleeps 4. They're also kind of pricy.

Well I pee'd a little on the trails we went down, I can only imagine the shenanigans now. In BTW, someone's got to witness it (will need armor mods before attempting)

Will do, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
