Mine is pretty much the same. I've been back and forth on selling the bike for the last 3 years. I think this spring I'll throw a battery in it and go for a ride.

 

Luckily for me I get to keep my wr450 at my bros house. I doubt there is any room for it in my garage

Saw this on NBC mobile app and had to laugh. This has been going on for quite a while and they are just putting it out now.

One of the companies salvaging the platnum from the converters in our area is A-1 Specialized on State Road. Big money in converters.

 

I used to park at one of the Septa train stations years ago and some asshole stole the cat off my Tacoma. At the end of the day I started my truck and it was so loud I was like what the fuck happened?... shut it off looked underneath to find my exhaust chopped in half

 

I work at an auto shop at Morel Avenue in Philly and we have a huge lot and we’ve had at least a dozen of our customers had their converter stolen right on our lot. We are also right near 2 train stations and we’ve had quite a few people come in from the train stations that had their converter stolen

 

Unfortunately it's not just in Philly that they are stealing them. It is probably fast easy money for drugs with less of a penalty if they get caught compared to mugging or burglary.

 

Train station lots are the perfect target, thieving bastards know the cars are sitting ducks with not much traffic coming through during the middle of the day.

Yikes... its crazy that we live in a society where someone can just walk in somewhere with a friggin sawzall and crawl under a car and buzz off parts and nobody stops them. That's some 3rd world country stuff. People like that should be shot in 1 knee when they get caught doing that idiocy and we shouldn't feel any guilt nor remorse on having a real system of justice to stop people from doing that kind of bull----. Certain people have no business ever being allowed to be part of our society again after such decisions and tax dollars shouldn't give them a free ride just to put them away behind bars.

 

I couldn't agree more, there is nothing to really deter someone from most crimes. However, if the public watched someone lose a hand for being caught stealing the lesson would be instilled for life. Real ramifications for being a menace to society. I also don't agree with life sentences either. If it is proven and there is no way (DNA evidence or the like) that the perpetrator is innocent, then shoot him and be done. I also think 3 strikes and you are out.

Then the mentality may change from i hope i don't get caught, to I better not even try.
